Hi. Can you please explain what this app is? I'm on the cocoadev list and can't seem to glean the app's meaning.

Matt: The application is just interface to the scripting framework. It demonstrates, what can be done using StepTalk in any application.

The StepTalk framework allows one to handle, send messages to, query, do whatever you like with Objective C/Cocoa objects using a scripting language. Apple provides AppleScript for similar purpose. StepTalk is not a scripting language, like ApplieScript is. StepTalk is rather abstraction layer on top of object runtime. Scripting languages are on top of the abstraction layer. That allows one to use/create any scripting language he likes or he thinks that will suit for his tasks purpose the best.

To Rainer: Thanks for letting me know. I will update the link. For the time being, if you know someone who has access to a mac, try to ask him to get sources from the .dmg package (the first link).
